I got lucky, by checking this website and not knowing what I was doing, other than perhaps looking for Drs schooled at good colleges and reviewed well, I lucked upon Dr Malin. She's is absolutely up to date on the most currently treatments, and is conservative in her approach to the work that needs to be done. I left feeling like I hit the jackpot, and considering the fact that I cry through my first appointments, this one as well, that's a lot to say. I feel like I'll have my teeth forever and they are in good hands.

Dr. Malin and her team are terrific. They practice conservative dentistry and never push you to procedures they don't think you need. She has recently added lasers to her practice, which I think is great. Her chair side manner is the best thing about her. She is warm and very concerned that you are comfortable and as pain free as possible. For children, she has a warm soft voice and reassuring manner.

Dr. Malin is thorough, knowledgeable and very gentle. I've been going to her for a few years now and I always feel that I'm getting the best possible treatment.

I love that she and her staff tell me what they're doing every step of the way. If something will be uncomfortable, they tell me what to expect. I can see that they work hard to build trust with their patients and that the details mean a great deal. I've never had to wait even once in the waiting room because they've reserved enough time to care for me and every patient thoroughly and carefully.

Dr. Malin is very thoughtful and knows her patients well. My kids (11,9 and 5) love coming here. If they hear "dentist" they are always ready to go. They especially like the goodie bags of toothbrush and toothpaste :-) The whole staff are very friendly and accommodating, always have a smile to give. There are tons of dental clinics near my place but I would rather trek the extra mile for a great service.

I have been going to Dr. Malin for more than 5 years and that says a lot. I'm fearful of dental work due to bad past experiences. Dr. Malin, Alex and the entire staff always make me feel completely comfortable. She ensures the work she and her team do is good. She has returned calls to me after hours and on days the office isn't even open. She is truely a gem of a Dr that I hope will remain in the area forever! Her equipment is the most up to date and she is very personable. I feel like I'm visiting with family/close friends opposed to a dental hygiene visit.

About Hygienist: All the hygienists I've visited at Dr Malin's office have been excellent. They are quick with their work but still very personable, making you feel right at home. I, as a child remember the "old Dental office". I was dragged in by my mom, and dreaded every minute!! I hate needles, and still do!! The memories of the needles sitting in a glass gar next to the chair I sat in still haunt me.

I have 3 sons, who are now adults. My oldest was the one who gave my Dr. Malin's phone number. This is a son who when he went to another dentist soacked his shirt in sweat.

He told me "Mom, I have been going to Dr. Malin in Des Plaines, and I think you should really try her out. I feel like home when I am there".

That was enough for me. I called , made an appointment, and I too felt so comfortable. The entire staff is awsome! ! I still hate needles, and pain, but Dr. Malin and her associates sure make you are as comfortable as possible.The office is top of the line. I have never been in such a comfortable atmosphere. They even have music you can listen to if want to relax. Trust me, for me it worked!!!

I had just moved into the area and Dr. Malin saw me right away to treat a surface cavity. She was quite excellant, she did a great job in setting expectations and managing any pain. She has the newest equipment and her staff is equally excellant, courteous and professional. I came back a week later for a cleaning and had a similarly great experience. Cost was quite reasonable as most was covered by my insurance plan.

I haven't been to the dentist in 10 years and was hesitant about who I put my trust in, but the reviews on here convinced me to give Dr. Malin's office a try. I'm very glad I did. Everyone there immediately puts you at ease. And no one made me feel ashamed about how long it has been for me, they just want you to focus on going forward and building your health back up to where it should be.

Alex does a great job of explaining what your treatment schedule is and he is awesome at explaining your dental insurance coverage.

Dr. Malin is very nice and knowledgeable. She's careful not to cause pain or discomfort if she can avoid it.

About Hygienist: I'm impressed with the amount of work that the hygienists can do without the doctor having to step in. The hygienists (Julie & Joanna) are great and have already made a big difference in my smile. I had to go in for scaling & root planing over 3 visits and from the first two, I haven't been in pain or even much discomfort from either of the appointments. They have both been very gentle & friendly and genuinely interested in your progress.

I hadnt been to the dentist in a very long time. Alex was very very reassuring when I called and made my appointment. All of the staff was very kind and very patient with me. I have a very sensitive gag reflex and they were all very kind and comforting helping me get my xrays and and cleaning. I had four teeth with soft spots and had to come back to have them cleaned and filled. Dr Malin was very nice and gentle, originally 2 appointments were made for the fillings, but she when she finished the first 2 she was very nice and went ahead and filled the other two so I wouldnt have to come again. I was VERy anxious and had calmed down enough so she could finish the work.

About Hygienist: Joanne really took along time with me and cleaned away every little bit of hardened plaque below my gum line. She was very nice.
