My family doctor (and family friend) retired a few years ago and I have FINALLY found a place I am completely comfortable with. I cant imagine a better place to go. I live in Bucktown so he is close to me, but if he was in the burbs or far from my home or work I would still go to him. I hate dentists, but I like Dr. Paguio. He is interested in doing what is in my best interest and not running up the bill or selling me on a bunch of procedures I dont absolutely need.His work is excellent and I have never had any problems after a visit with him.
About Hygienist: His hygienist is very good, very thorough and very gentle... I always feel very uncomfortable when someone cleans my teeth, but she is very polite and completely professional.

Three words come to mind when I think of my experience; trustworthy, pain free, & eco-friendly. At the Art of Dental Care they quickly earned my trust with pain free procedures! I also discovered that their state of the art dental imaging minimizes my exposure to radiation & eliminates any need for disposable products. Further, I observed that they utilize computer charting which reduces any paper waste. The office is contemporary, clean, & inviting. Their respect for the patient is evident in how they care for them. My experience was a unique one. I had a toothache & a new baby with no one to care for him during my visit. Dr. Paguio was able to accommodate me, & Leah, his assistant, offered to watch my baby during my dental visit. I was seen immediately, & Jenny, the dental hygienist, was great & gave me a pain free dental cleaning! Dr. Paguio then discovered that I needed a new filling. Kristin, the clinical coordinator, offered to have me listen to an IPod to distract me from all the drilling & buzzing. Wow! Ive NEVER had this kind of offer before! I felt my body relax as I realized I wasnt having any pain or discomfort. Before I knew it, they were done! I recommend checking them out! It's a unique dental experience.

I can't say enough about the staff and Dr. Paguio and their level of expertise and friendliness. The first appointment I had, I missed (forgot the time) and they were so nice to call me and say 'no problem, it happens all the time, let us rebook you" and they got me in the same day! Their office is beautiful, more like a living room than a Dentist Office. And they definitely go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. I've never waited more than 1 minute to be seen, and after only having been there once, everyone there remembered me and specific aspects of our previous conversations, and my dental health. They have state-of-the-art equipment and Dr. Paguio always takes extra time explaining in detail what needs to be done. They are always great to tell you upfront what the cost is going to be so there are no surprises. On top of all that, I had to have my wisdom teeth removed, and the dental assistant actually came to the oral surgeon's office on the day of my surgery just to make sure I was okay. This is by far the best dentist experience I have ever had and I definitely recommend them!

Dr. Paguio and his staff are top-notch. Not only are the incredibly conveniently located in Bucktown, but their facilities don't even feel like you're in a dentist's office! This is not the dentistry I grew up with. The staff are warm and friendly, and everyone is very professional. The technology is state-of-the-art. You get the sense there that you are the most important thing in the world to them- their care is not rushed, and is very high quality. They are always concerned that you are comfortable with your procedure, and they explain everything so well! They still manage a laid back atmosphere with all of that. I am a committed patient now, after 1 day!

Dr. Paguio was amazing at bringing my teeth back to a healthy stage. I had 6 cavities and needed to get an onlay to a tooth that had broken. He was completely professional, honest, and upfront about what procedures needed to be done.Unfortunately, I left Chicago and have yet to find someone as great as he is. 100% recommend him to anyone.

It might seem a bit odd to begin a review with a comment on parking availability, but I think its relevant; my awesome experience with the Art of Dental Care began with a smooth drive over. Ive been accustomed to the quintessential Chicago hellacious-bus-trips or outrageous downtown parking prices but found the commute to my first appointment at this new office to be swift and headache free. The building itself is on the corner of Dickens and Damen. This easy to find, sharp looking store-front caught my eye from the curb. I arrived right on time (for once in my life), was greeted by the super friendly, smiley, mega-intelligent staff and taken right back to the chair. What can I say? This place felt more like a spa than a dental office. Tons of paintings, plasmas, fresh air and&space&SPACE! When was the last time you were at a doctors office that had beautiful windows and open space? Despite the dynamic setting, however, The Art of Dental Care has the best staff a patient could hope to find. This place is like the Holy Grail of dental offices. I should know; Ive spent a fafillion hours in the chair and the few that Ive spent with the staff have been as pleasurable as one could hope for. If you care about your smile, take your mouth to these people&theyll make your worst case scenario into a work of art.

I work for Dr Paguio. I am his hygienist, Jennifer. Now, this may seem strange or unfair for me to post a review, but let me explain. You see, Dr Paguio is also my dentist. I have been a hygienist for nine years, and in those years I have worked with many different dentists in the Chicago area. Contrary to popular belief, my teeth are not perfect and I do have some fillings which desperately needed to be replaced. The problem was that I did not trust anyone to do the work. I am a perfectionist by nature, and I needed to be sure that my dental work would be done right. After working with Dr Paguio for a short time, I felt confident that I could trust him. He has begun the process of replacing my fillings, and they look beautiful. They feel great, and of course there was no pain. An added bonus, the office is just beautiful& when I first walked in for my interview I knew instantly that this is where I wanted to workI even gave notice at my previous office before Dr. Paguio even offered me the job! And he really put me through the ringer with so many interviews that I lost count! I didnt mind though, because I knew that this meant he really cared about who took care of his patients. So there you have it& Dr Paguio is the kind of dentist that even a perfectionist dental hygienist like me can be happy with both as an employee and as a patient!

Dr. Paguio was my dentist back in Grand Rapids, MI before he moved to Chicago. I hadn't gone to the Dentist for about 5 years when one day I broke a tooth and needed a root canal. I was always very nervous about going to the Dentist and I do not have a very high tolerance for pain. Dr. Paguio was absolutely wonderful, he made me feel relaxed and unafraid. My root canal was as seemless and painless as one could hope for. I would recommend him to anybody. If I lived in Chicago instead of Grand Rapids, I would still have Dr. Paguio as my Dentist. In fact, I even entertained the idea of commuting twice a year just to keep him as my Dentist. He is the reason I am no longer afraid to go to the Denist. If you are thinking about seeing Dr. Paguio or are in need of a Denist, don't give it a second thought go and see him you will be happy you did!

I visited Dr. Paguio office after being recommended by a former dentist. From the moment I called to setup a visit, I was extremely pleased with the both the services provided and the care given. I was able to schedule a visit within a week of calling that fit my often changing schedule.I found the office incredibly modern, bright, and very spa like. Personal touches of modern furniture from Dr. Paguio's aesthetic find themselves throughout the office.The staff was very pleasant, energetic, and helpful; especially walking a new patient through the paperwork and insurance forms. Both the hygienist and Dr. Paguio were very professional during my visit, and we were able to establish a personal connection quickly. The office, tools and lab equipment, were cutting edge, including digital records, xrays, pictures, etc. In addition the hygienist provided excellent care and cleaning using modern technology and equipment. I was able not only to schedule a consultation, xrays, and a cleaning, but I was also able to have a procedure to replace an existing filling following my cleaning. This was extremely convenient given my schedule. I highly recommend Dr. Paguio and the office.

This was one of the nicest offices that I've ever been to. Not only is the place really nice; his staff was extremely helpful in explaining the finance part of everything. Dr Paguio went out of his way to make sure that the crowns were done well and looked the way I wanted them. He also called to make sure that I was ok in the inbetween stages to make sure there were no problems. I highly recommend Dr Paguio and his office. I'm a very picky person and just had a wonderful experience to the dentist. I think it's a rare thing to find and one certainly worth talking about.
